Welcome to KissResume ("KissResume," "we," "our," or "us"). These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the KissResume website and related services (collectively, the "Services"). By accessing or using our Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use KissResume.

1. Acceptance of terms

By creating an account, uploading your résumé, or otherwise using our Services, you:

• Confirm that you are at least 18 years old; and
• Agree to comply with these Terms and all applicable laws and regulations.

If you are using the Services on behalf of a business or organization, you represent that you are authorized to bind that entity to these Terms.

2. Description of services

KissResume is a career optimization platform offering AI-powered tools that help users:

• Evaluate and improve résumés;
• Match résumés with job descriptions; and
• Generate personalized cover letters.

Future Services may include:

• Job search assistance;
• Submitting job applications on behalf of users (with consent); and
• Personalized job recommendations and career analytics.

We may update, enhance, or discontinue specific features from time to time without prior notice.

3. User responsibilities and account security

• You must ensure all information provided is accurate, current, and complete.
• You are solely responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for any activities under your account.
• You agree not to:
  • Use the Services for unlawful, misleading, or fraudulent purposes;
  • Upload or share content that infringes intellectual property or privacy rights;
  • Attempt to access systems or data without authorization.

KissResume is not responsible for any loss or damage resulting from unauthorized account access caused by your failure to maintain security.

4. Intellectual property rights

• All materials, algorithms, and content provided through the Services — including text, graphics, logos, and software — are the exclusive property of KissResume or its licensors.
• You retain ownership of your uploaded materials (e.g., résumé, cover letters), but you grant KissResume a limited, non-exclusive, revocable license to use them solely for providing, improving, or analyzing our Services.
• You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works from any part of the Services without our written consent.

5. Disclaimers and limitation of liability

• Our Services are provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis, without warranties of any kind — express or implied.
• We do not guarantee employment, job offers, or any particular results.
• To the maximum extent permitted by law, KissResume and its affiliates shall not be liable for:
  • Indirect, incidental, or consequential damages;
  • Data loss or unauthorized access beyond our reasonable control;
  • Any reliance on information provided by our AI tools.

If you are dissatisfied with any part of the Services, your sole remedy is to discontinue using them.

6. Termination and suspension

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the Services without notice if:

• You violate these Terms;
• You engage in unlawful, fraudulent, or abusive activity; or
• We discontinue the Services.

Upon termination, your account and associated data may be deleted in accordance with our Privacy Policy.

7. Advertising

KissResume is an ad-supported product. We display third-party advertisements via Google AdSense. By using the Services, you understand that:

• Ads are clearly labelled "Advertisement" and are served by Google, not by KissResume;
• Google and its partners may use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites, subject to your cookie-consent choice;
• You can opt out of personalized advertising at google.com/settings/ads or via our cookie banner (Reject) on first visit;
• KissResume does not endorse advertisers or the content of ads.

8. Third-party service providers

To deliver the Services, KissResume processes your data through the following providers, each acting as a data processor:

• Google (Gemini, AI Studio, Vertex AI) — large language model inference for résumé analysis, chat, and document generation.
• Microsoft Azure (Azure OpenAI, Azure Storage, Azure Communication Services, Application Insights) — hosting, blob and table storage, transactional email, and observability.
• OpenAI — supplemental LLM inference for selected features.
• Serper — Google Search results for job-listing retrieval.
• Google AdSense — third-party advertising (see Section 7).

9. Modifications to the services or terms

KissResume may modify or update these Terms at any time. The latest version will always be available on our website with the revised "Last updated" date. Continued use of our Services constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
